Grants
The Trust's granting process evolved as the organization grew and matured, but remains a small part of our overall programs. We do work through grants when it is more practical or efficient then doing it with Trust staff. Our grant process has a predictable annual cycle. The deadline for grant submission is 15 October of each year. The Board of Directors considers grant proposals once a year at the December meeting. Preference is given to grants that maximize partnerships involving contributions of money, time, and expertise. For further information, grant guidelines and application, check the links below. Rangeland Monitoring and Improved Management Assist ranchers with setting up and maintaining rangeland monitoring sites, as well as including the program through FFA, 4-H, and Range Youth Camp, $10,000
Earth Wellness Environmental Festival Educational hands-on workshops to enhance fifth grade science and social studies curriculum, $6,000
Wakopa Trail Phase I Interpretive Panels, $8,000
Turtle Mtn. Outdoor Learning Center Hands-on outdoor educational program, $5,000
Organic Farming 101 Education in organic management principles, including natural resource conservation and monitoring, $24,000
Chase Lake VIII Wetland restoration and grassland enhancement, $20,000
